What is the Explorers Club
The Explorers Club is a movie and a virtual community, a gathering place for people who can benefit from a deeper intellectual experience. The movie is a five minute ride through the large format universe and the web site has been designed to allow teachers and students to have the opportunity to access better educational background information on a wide range of topics and related resources. The site incorporates a chat room and bulletin board where they can interact, share ideas and compare class curriculums with others all over the world. Sharing and comparing class curriculums will create a richer educational experience and potentially allow student groups to interact with subject groups located in the geographical setting of a given film. Teachers and students will also be encouraged to interact with scientists and filmmakers, enabling them to obtain a more detailed and comprehensive understanding of the large format movies being presented.
