Original Storyline

Following this first adventure, Tuktu and her family continue their spectacular migration. In one short year, she will cover an immense area of nearly 800,000 square kilometers (308,880 square miles) — the size of France and Italy combined. But Tuktu must be on her guard; this region is home to wolves who would enjoy nothing more than a fine meal of caribou meat.

Driven by their migratory instinct, the caribou cross lakes, rivers and mountains, without slowing for even the most daunting of obstacles. Nothing stands in the way of a herd of migrating caribou: not wolves, not bloodthirsty hordes of insects, not even humans.

Tuktu’s herd now moves west — to the edge of the forests. In these open spaces, harems will develop within the migratory groups.
